My family loves anything to do with history! We decided to go down to St. Augustine after we left Savannah. St. Augustine is the oldest city that is still a city in the United States! Since St. Augustine is so old, not alot of the old structures are still there and it is mostly a beach town. But there are alot of things to still see in the city of St. Augustine!

We went to the Old Jail and took a tour! The story behind the Old Jail is that it used to be by the Ponce De Leon Hotel and the owner, Henry M. Flagler was upset that a jail was right next to his grand hotel. So he payed a BIG amount of money for the jail to be moved. The jail then got moved right next to the railroad. The jail was a very nice looking jail and when vistors came off the train they would ask for a room at the jail, lol!

The bird cage was a way of punishment.

On our last day in St. Augustine we decided to go to the beach. The beach was so beautiful and so peaceful! I even met two little girls! One girl was named Claire and she was 7 and the other one's name was Caroline and she was 9! They just came up to me and asked me if I would help them boogy board. I made alot of memories with those two girls!

This beach is unreal!

After I was finally a lobster we decided to go to the St. Augustine lighthouse and climb it! 219 steps up and 219 steps down, whoa!
