This summer my family decided to travel down to Savannah, Georgia! I had never been there but so many people had recommended it to me (so it was a must!). We decided to spend three days in Savannah and three days in Saint Augustine. So, stay tune for a blog post from Saint Augustine!!

Day One: Travel Day
We left Sunday morning at 6:00AM (let's just say my alarm didn't go off so it was a VERY stressful morning) and after a long car ride we arrived in Savannah at 5:30PM. Our first stop was The Pirates' House! The Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. It was first an experimental garden in 1733. Inside The Pirates' House is the oldest house in Georgia, "The Herb House". The Herb House was to house the gardener for Trustees Garden. The garden never worked out and in 1753 it became an inn for seafarers and a meeting point for pirates and sailors. Here, seamen would be carried unconscious to ships waiting in the harbor and would wake up to find themselves on a ship heading a world away. Not only does this restaurant have cool history it also has AMAZING food!!! I ordered The Pirates' House award winning pecan fried chicken and it was delicious!

After The Pirates' House, we decided to walk down River Street and enjoy the beautiful Savannah River!

Once it turned dark, we took the Ghosts and Gravestones tour. This tour takes you around the town and tells you stories. It also takes you into the Andrew Low House (Juliett Gordon Low's father in law) and Perkin's and Son's Chandlery. Our tour guide's name was Katie. She was so good and brought humor into the tour!

Day Two:
On day two in Savannah, we took the Old Town Hop On Hop Off Trolley. We decided to take the full hour and half tour and then hop off!

Our first stop was Leopold's Ice Cream! Leopold's normally has a block long line but we got there when it opened so we didn't have to wait like at all!!!! I got their famous Savannah Socialite and it truly was amazing!

Our next stop was Juliett Gordon Low's birthhouse. I once was a Girl Scout so I was so excited for it! The house was beautiful and I loved seeing all the things she made! She was a very talented woman.

We then went inside the Cathedral Of St. John. The building was so pretty inside!

It was then lunch time so we went to City Market and got a bite. We ate at Wild Wing and I got the Fajata Fiesta Wrap. It was so good!

I LOVE pink!! So our next stop was a MUST!! We then headed to the Olde Pink House. A house that is pink- my kind of house!! I wanted to get alot of pictures and that is exactly what I did!!

After my parents finally convinced me to leave, we headed to Forsyth Park. This park is so gorgeous to walk through. It has a long walk of oak trees with spanish moss guiding your walkway with a beautiful fountain in the middle!

After a long day of being tourists, we ate at Paula Deen's The Lady and Sons. If you have never heard of Paula Deen, she is the cook who prepares southern meals with LOTS of butter and sugar! I decided to get the buffet and it was as southern as you can get with food!

We decided to end the day with a stroll down River Street! Since we were in Savannah, it was a must to go to River Street Sweet Candy Store and get their famouse pralines, yum!!

Day Three:
This was our last day in Savannah and in Georgia so we decided to go to Tybee Island. Tybee Island is a place where many movies have been filmed including "The Last Song". So I had to go look for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth on the beach!

If y'all look up Savannah on pinterest, most likely you will see many photos of a long driveway full of oak trees with spanish moss. Well it's called "The Wormsloe Plantation" and the driveway is a mile long full of those trees! Perfect place for engagement photos! *note for future Emma Grace!

We ended our Savannah trip at Wormsloe. Savannah was truly beautiful! The city was full of so much history and people who made statements! Hope y'all enjoyed seeing Savannah through my eyes! Have a blessed day!
Love,
Emma Grace
